INFORMATION ABOUT PACN

The IEEE Phoenix Area Consultants Network (PACN) was founded in 1993 as part of the Phoenix Section of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest professional organization. The Network is integrated into the Alliance of IEEE Consultants Networks (AICN) operating under the IEEE United States Activities Board. Please see our page Links to URLs of Interest for links to the web pages of these organizations.

The Network is a voluntary association of independent professionals who represent a broad range of expertise covering virtually all fields of engineering and applied technology.  Each member acts as an independent contractor, and PACN itself does not directly provide or contract for professional services. Our members typically have at least twenty-five years of experience and represent a broad range of state-of-the-art expertise. Our page Areas of Members' Expertise lists these fields with links to detailed information about each consultant. An alphabetical list of our members is provided on our page PACN Directory of Members

Our members provide a level of expertise and support on an as-needed basis that is usually not available within most companies. Using our consultants gives a company access to state-of-the-art technology without the expense of maintaining that capability on a continuing basis. Our consultants can also provide high quality support in helping companies to successfully complete projects on-time and meet deadlines. Our experts are very useful in helping to prepare proposals and win competitive programs.

If you would like to learn more about PACN, please contact a member of the Executive Board or attend one of our meetings that are held on the second Thursday of each month at a local restaurant.  Please check our page PACN Calendar of Events for details of upcoming meetings.
