Description of Technical Expertise:
Mr. Treude has twenty years' experience in software design and development, with an emphasis on interface, control, and testing of electronic hardware.
Vaughn Treude graduated in 1980 from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He soon moved from the field of hardware design to software development, and has been writing code in C and other languages since the early 1980's. In the 1990's, he took the opportunity to try contract software development work as an alternative to standard employment. In 1993, he founded Nakota Software, Inc., (originally Dakota Software) as a vehicle to guide his own professional development through independent consulting. He has been active in technical and consulting groups, among them the Phoenix Area Consultants Network, an affiliated chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), where he has served as editor of the monthly newsletter and is currently webmaster.
